Maybe..

Or..

Or..

This week, make a point of checking out your local market. Emphasis on ‘most local’ (not necessarily the best!)
Find out when it is, and mark it in your diary.
Avoid the word ‘interesting’ – search for a more specific and descriptive phrase.
What makes it interesting? To whom? Be more honest and specific.
Avoid using the word ‘nice’.
Be more descriptive and specific.
Why is something nice? What do you actually mean to communicate?
When you were half the age you are now…
Today, revisit the best bits of being that age.
Choose something you deem to be boring.
Devote 10 minutes to studying it or researching it, until you’ve squeezed something interesting out of it.
e.g:
Motorways. How are they built? What are they designed to withstand? what was their impact on towns, cities, industry?
Tax. Who does the calculations? what’s the history? what would happen if all tax ceased today?
Even better- cycle there
Even better- make it a picnic spot
Even better- take photos
What could do with a tidy-up?
wallet?
desk?
wardrobe?
garage?
car?
handbag?
Grab a choice spot in a cafe, park, or amble through town.
• Notice the variety of people.
• Imagine where they are going.
• What would it be like to be them?
